Yeah, we haven't exactly had the refs on our side so far. As a matter of fact, they're not calling much for us anyways. IDK if this is a league wide issue, but it's frustrating when the lack of non-calls keep on piling up for our team..

[Image: 2menybt.jpg] Invest in the trenches with high draft picks and we will see both sides of the ball vastly improve.

.. and Roddy projects to have around 32 to 40 drops.

Every fan is going to notice calls against their team that the Refs miss. This is more of a combination of better quality video see HD and so many more angles thanks to the large amount of cameras on the field, and of course your personal bias. There are probably dozens of missed calls every game mostly due to refs not seeing it or just a let them play mentality. There is no major conspiracy against the Falcons.

RE: Julio Jones
roddy needs to get his head right because teams are gonna start doubling julio. i cant imagine we'll see too much more bump n run and single coverage on him anymore after these last 2 games

RE: Julio Jones
i think the eagles game was proof positive theres a bias with the refs against the falcons. matt ryan nearly gets his head knocked off no call then abraham taps the back up in the back and thats called

RE: Julio Jones
Jones will have a great test this week. Green Bay is a high quality opponent with a quality secondary. They are down their best player in the secondary, Nick Collins, but they do have plenty of other talent. We all remember Tramon Williams, we all know about Charles Woodson too, it's going to be a great one. I'm looking forward to seeing this matchup, we'll see if we can put a complete game together, I think this game, more than any game so far this season is going to be the one where the Falcons finally feel like the season is in gear.

I think part of the problems have been with the lack of offseason, but this game will for sure have us ready to go. This is the game we have been waiting for, and while I expect a loss this week because Green Bay is just absolutely going off right now, I fully believe that the Falcons if they play their best football can win this game. It's going to take everything we have to match them, but I know we can. I think the defense will step up to their biggest challenge to date, and I think BVG fully remembers what Green Bay can do, so if we do jump out on top, the 'prevent' won't show it's face, it'll just keep pouring on. Looking forward to a down right slobberknocker.

Yep, my wife and I saw the same thing during the game. There were at least three incomplete passes to each of those guys that on replay clearly showed the defender grabbing them or coming in too early to knock them before the ball got there. And not once on those plays was it called.

And yet Grimes within five yards of the LOS gets a call because he had a hand on a hip. Really?

I don't like blaming refs but through four games this year it is blindingly obvious the refs are turning a blind eye to penalties against us but quick to flag anything against us.

I think the very next drive the same thing happened to Julio on a slant and no call.

Honestly I feel the "lack" of an offseason is now a hollow argument. Now I don't know if maybe greenbay and certain other teams are exceptions, but holy cow. Rodgers and Co. over there in cheesehead land are tearing it up.

I fully expect a buttwhoopin, but at the same time seeing Matty rally the Offense together and putting up reasonable points.

I'm just thinking Rodgers has got the confidence even more now; he's pretty much unstoppable.

RE: Julio Jones
Well he has the confidence and he has been cocky with it which I personally don't mind. But everyone faces a circumstance that presents them with hubris at some point. I hope our organisation can be the team to evoke those emotions in Green Bay and pay them back for disrespecting us in our house last year.

Just to make it clear as a former defensive player my mindset is I think I am disrespected if the QB tries to pass I am disrespected if the offense tries to run. I'm disrespected if they get off the bus and they are smiling. Our Defense and our offense needs to find that sort of attitude within them. Be professionals but be ruthless in the process. Before this generation of Falcons football is over there has to be an era in which teams fear playing the falcons. 90% of the pieces are there but we have to drive that nail home
