Falcons: Julio Jones ruled out for Carolina game

Quote:FLOWERY BRANCH — Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones has a hamstring injury and will not play against Carolina on Sunday, head coach Mike Smith said on Wednesday.

Also tight end Tony Gonzalez (elbow), safety William Moore (shoulder), right guard Garrett Reynolds (ankle), defensive end John Abraham (hip/groin), center Todd McClure (knee) and Christopher Owens (concussion protocol) all did not practice on Wednesday.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, this may not be a bad thing. Without Jones, we may get HD the ball more and actually play Kerry Meier. We may even go back to our ball control offense that worked so well last season.

the one fucking player I've been dying to see gets injured right after I buy two fucking tickets to go see my first fucking Falcons game while wearing my fucking Julio Jones jersey. What's the use anymore?

Agree with above post on getting to see a little more HD. He is primed to have a great year, we just need matty to look at him a little more....

I don't know if it's a trust thing or a talent thing, but time and time again our offense has proven that HD will not be a big part of it...this game just got harder. hopefully Roddy recovers from whatever ailment has been bothering him
