I've been behind this trade from day one, and not because I'm a "homer". As I said in a previous post, Julio has played like a rookie at times, and a superstar at others. Julio is the same size as Andre Johnson, only a bit faster. The potential is there to be one of the all-time greats, and I think 3 first day picks is worth the opportunity to have an elite wideout. Physical attributes aside, he blocks like Hines Ward and has the attitude of a player who would rather hand the ball to the ref before performing a 15 yard penalty celebration. He's dropped a few key balls this year, but wasn't it posters like you who were screaming bust at Roddy until he caught 80 balls from Joey Harrington? Or what about last year when he had 115 catches, wasn't that the same Falcon wide receiver? To judge a player after this long is asinine, especially when there isn't that much negatives to judge upon. This trade didn't "set us back" even if Julio turns out to be the next Troy Williamson, simply because a couple of late first round picks and a late second rounder can be replaced during free agency, even if none of them somehow bust. I'm still sticking behind Julio because I've seen countless times how special this kid is.

"3 first day picks" no you mean 5 picks don't you , like I said if we would of kept MJ we would of had 5 picks more. Look I get it Julio MIGHT be great MIGHT be a superstar and I damn wish so but the gamble was way too much. We sold out the farm for someone that MIGHT be great so far no one can say he even has been close to great.

Nice to say there's free agency but there's free agency for the other 31 teams also. Not like we can just pick anyone we want. Free agency is one thing which usually comes with a heavy price tag. Draft picks usually cost us less.
