RE: Jones - Robiskie
Maybe he got into it with the corner. That play was never going downfield. Had Julio been targeted before that? He was gesturing to himself. Maybe he was trying to get across that they could target him. Whatever it was he went about his business afterwards. The kid is hungry for the ball hungry for his team. You know he is the type to bury a player even if the ball is going the other way.
One thing he needs to grow up out of is standing on the spot when the route ends. Every now and again he bounces on the spot. He has shown he can work back to the QB or work across the field. He will be more dangerous when that becomes automatic. There is no point in Matt extending the play if the receivers do not make themselves open. As for not celebrating the TD, I think he was clearly not in jumping or dancing mood, he shouldn't take himself too seriously but I don't mind seeing a guy who has an all about business mentality on occasion. Touchdowns are nice but we want them championships |

RE: Jones - Robiskie
Both JJ and White were open on drag routes that Ryan didn't see early on in the game. I think the WRs were getting frustrated that they weren't getting the ball when they were wide open.

RE: Jones - Robiskie
On the first drive of the game, JJ tried to basket catch a ball on his hip and he dropped it. It absolutely should have been caught. He was ahead of the CB and completely turned around almost back-peddling. Why he didn't try to catch it at the top with his hands instead of basket against his body I have no idea.
But Ryan was visibly frustrated that the ball wasn't caught on that play and he started going with Tony on the next drive. |

RE: Jones - Robiskie
Jones is second in the NFL with 5 drops.
The Falcons are tied with the Saints for the league lead with 15. Those 15 catches would put us in a different place as far as scoring and stats go. Robiskie has plenty of reason to be angry with his receivers. |

I think JJ was concerned about staying in bounds on that pass and that broke his concentration on the ball. I am pretty sure that even if he makes that catch cleanly with his hands, he would have been ruled out of bounds for no catch. |
