John Clayton NFC Divisional Round Questions
Link
Quote:Except for the favored Seattle Seahawks beating the Washington Redskins 24-14 at FedEx Field, home field reigned in the first weekend of the playoffs. So Clayton has us winning this week, and I've already read quite a few articles saying that Chris Clemons being out will be a big blow to the Seahawks and will only help us out. Opening line was Falcons -1, has now moved to Falcons -2.5, and there is speculation it will move to Falcons -4.5 once Clemons injury is officially announced as a torn ACL. The Man In Black

RE: John Clayton NFC Divisional Round Questions
Best way to stop the run?
Score and score early. Put up points and take the run game out of the equation and force them to try and win through a shoot out which they don't have the weapons. |

RE: John Clayton NFC Divisional Round Questions
I'm not trying to be negative, but it's hard to look at Seattle and not be worried (As I keep repeating)
We need to score on our first drive, period. No matter what Seattle does, we need to score. If we don't, we could lose any momentum before we even get started.

RE: John Clayton NFC Divisional Round Questions
Yeah you keep repeating it dude and it it pretty tiresome already. Allow letting your record play like that all week. Come on man. Stop acting like the only chance we have to win this is to play a perfect game. This isn't the 2010 team. We are going to win this game. Methodically and on our own pace. The one time I've seen a team dictate the tempo in the Georgia dome is when we didn't give a crap against Tampa. This team will come out focused and ready to make their point and not let up as they have with every so called statement game we're supposed to have had on our schedule this season.
Our team isnt running up under mommy's petticoat so why should our fans act like it either. It's not like people our showing nerves, they are showing a lack of confidence a lack of faith. I said it when we had the Giants on the Horizon we were going to curb stomp them. Seattle are going to come in and get a good skull fucking and there isn't a lot they can do about it. This team particularly on defense has a much darkewr side that comes out in those moments when the sporting nation is set to judge them or castigate them. ready to tar and feather them. Even when we lost to the Saints we couldn't take much heat because that game was a battle to the end. This team will win. They are all they have their families are all they have. How can they show their trust and faith in a fan base who can show so many varying degrees of lowered faith in them when 80% of their body of work at a minimum this season should have been inspiring the fan base to rise up and rabidly and ignorantly and unblinkingly support them. |

Yeah, they have a really good defense but they have a rookie QB, it's not like facing Rodgers who will come out and start slinging touchdowns. That game got away from the Redskins because Shanahan is an idiot and didn't pull RGIII when he should have. Seattle is beatable. |

I say he should have come out during the first half after that sideline hit. When do you think the right time was? After halftime? After the first Redskins possession in the 3rd Q? I think the Seahawks would have likely won anyway, but you are correct that Shanahan ruined the small chance to win that the early lead provided. |

From what I've read, it sounds like he should have come out after the big hit, he was hobbling after that. I saw him go down for good in the 4th, it was sickening. And I didn't watch it, but from all accounts Shannahan acted like a total douche in the post game conference and it's come out that he lied that the doctors cleared RGIII when Dr. Andrews himself said he didn't. They have taken concussion symptoms and going back into the game decisions out of coaches/players hands and put it in the hands of the medical staff; it might be time to at least have the conversation on extending that to other injuries. |
