RE: John Abraham arrested in Atlanta
reported today in the AJC according to the link at the top of the page, he was intoxicated:
Abe silent after arrest Atlanta Falcons: John Abraham silent in wake of arrest 7:38 pm September 26, 2012, by Michael Cunningham "Falcons defensive end John Abraham did not comment to media today on his Monday arrest on charges of obstructing police and firefighters. Abraham was not in the locker room when it was open to media and was escorted off the practice field by two of the team’s public relations officials. Atlanta police said Abraham was “obviously intoxicated” when he entered a restricted area and refused to leave when ordered. Officials were responding to a call about a woman who threatened to jump from a building at Atlantic Station in Midtown. Falcons coach Mike Smith said Tuesday the organization was “very disappointed” that a player was involved in an alleged negative incident but wouldn’t say if Abraham would be disciplined. Falcons running back Michael Turner was arrested a week earlier and charged with DUI." WTH is up with our guys all of a sudden? success and they wanna screw it up by getting drunk after games? |

RE: John Abraham arrested in Atlanta
Some crazy people like Swift wanted Dez Bryant type of players. Seems some of ours are trying to help out.

RE: John Abraham arrested in Atlanta
I have a feeling this may actually motivate Abe to prove something this weekend.
Turner seemed to come out running a lot harder after his DUI, like he was making up for his screwup. I'm going to put my money on Abe having one of those amazing games Sunday as a result of this too. |

RE: John Abraham arrested in Atlanta
I don't know, Turner running against a team that gave up after halftime is something else.

I saw him with his motor turned up full throttle for a change. His legs and feet looked noticibly faster than normal. He may not have had a breakout 150+ yardage day, but he was running harder. I know I saw it. Even my daughter commented on it. |

The Falcons lead the league in tons of categories but I would not have guessed that 'arrests' would be one of them. I will note that the traditional reward for a win is a day off for the team and that is when things can get goofy. So by winning more the players have more time for extracurricular activities and boom, there it is. |
