If 5 years 30 million is accurate, then it reinforces that CAR overpaid CJ by a country mile. I mean is CJ twice as good as Ray Edwards?

What a bargain- Looks like the falcons are franchise that players want to play for. I'm sure somebody offered Edwards more money, but he WANTED to play here.

That's such a nice change from the clampetts.

Whoa, the season can't start soon enough!!!!

Knew it wouldn't take Johnson $. Atlanta played this like a flawless poker hand. Ran the price up on Johnson so Carolina paid an arm and a leg, and then waited out Edwards until he finally realized he wasn't worth that money. I called it.

Only concern with Edwards is does he shut it down after getting paid? A lot of people seem to think that.

I really wish I could know how we pulled this off with that type of money. Its like TD just came and said this is what we are going to pay you... done.

what a fucking awesome offseason by TD!! Got Ryan a future #1, resigned our probowl OT for next to nothing and got a DEAL for Edwards. I was not expecting him to come this cheap!

I don't know for sure with todays releases, but I think we are somewhere between 5-7 million under right now and still have Grimes and Weems signing RFA letters at 6, so probably 3-5 to get a backup RB and a nickle unless they feel that we are OK at those spots

Quite honestly this now officially makes this an excellent offseason.

I don't think TD is done. If he doesn't resign Blalock, I think he'll be bringing in another corner to play the nickel. I also expect him to sign a WR for a lot less money than Jenkins was making. Like the veterans minimum.
