Right, well the point is that the Falcons AREN'T the Green Bay Packers and they AREN'T the New Orleans Saints. We aren't built for that. And just so you know, the Saints ran the ball during their superbowl game 16 times. Far more than 10. . The Packers are probably one of the only teams that can pull off not running the football these days. The thing is though, they DO run the football.

Phocis it would seem that way but NO was a top 5 rushing team that year and GB made their run in the playoffs averaging 150 rushing yards a game. Makes it easier when the DB'S and LB'S have their eyes in the backfield.

I dont think our offensive philosophy is bad actually. I think we should be using Quizz more than we are and that could be just him getting acclimated bc he has gotten the ball more recently and the second thing is our run blocking has to improve. I like Turner but we need a more shifty RB. It's either MM doesnt trust Turner to run a toss or he barely calls them.

It's easy to play good run defense when there's no fear of the outside run. We need a consistent RB that run both inside and outside effectively. Turner doesn't seem to be that.

This is why either Quizz becomes that for us or I'm all for Trent Richardson and him and Quizz do it together. Turner turns 30 next year.

As I said, Turner is 29 years old. Time to use him up! Get everything we can out of him.

you don't run the ball on 2nd and 12 3rd and long.... those were the situations we were in MOST of the game.

Maybe not, but what about 1st or 2nd and Goal?

I disagree. I believe that on 2nd and long you can still run the ball. Might be one of the best times to run. Defense would never suspect.
