Falcons: It just feels right

I don't know about you guys but it just feels different this year. Whenever a player talks about the coaching staff (particularly Koetter and Nolan) the talk seems a lot more positive and upbeat than it has the past 4 years with Mularkey and VanGorder.

I mean hearing Ryan talk about how Koetter is much more open-minded and accepts feedback from offensive players a lot better than Mularkey ever did makes me jump for joy. The most important thing an OC can do is listen and accept input from the players to see what they like doing and what they're comfortable with and what they do best. I think the sky's the limit for this offense.

And there is a lot of positive talk about Peria Jerry (even from Pat Yaskinkas who normally doesn't have many good things to say about the Falcons) having that "burst" back that he showed as a rookie in 2009. If Jerry could get back anywhere near that level the Falcons defense under Nolan has the ability to be the best in the NFL.

I am really, really pumped this year. Much more so than any other year.

Agreed in full, in fact given who we had I think the coordinator changes alone are more important than any free agents / trades we could've done in the off season. Add Asante on top of that, I'm pumped!!

Yeah. I was really glad TD made his off-season plan to keep the core of the team together save for Lofton.

I try and not to get myself so high on our possible success to where I can't handle the disappointment of failure. It isn't working. I have a really good vibe this year. Knock on wood , and everything else. I have a feeling we top the previous 4 years , which ever way. This news of starters for the whole 1st quarter on Thursday is worrisome. I pray it goes right.

As long as we can get the gaping hole at MLB filled solidly, I'll be ready to say that this year could actually be the year to get excited. I'm really hoping that Petey can play in the middle.

I'm still worried about the o-line. I can only trust that the coaching staff has plans to deal with that, but I'm concerned.

If the o-line works, I think the team is poised to make a deep run. If not, it doesn't matter how creative the offense is, nor how dominating the defense is.

i'm still concerned with this as well. my personal opinion is that the biggest problem with the interior line last year was Mike Johnson getting hurt so early in camp and not being able to keep reynolds out of there. I'd love to see MJ be able to win the spot, and Konz go to center. and hopefully baker won't have us wishing my grandmother could push her walker away and and plug in as a better option at LT.....

After 2 games it still feels right. The OL has gone far beyond my wildest imaginations, mainly in the pass blocking.

Jerry is playing great. Looks like he's finally performing how we expected when he was drafted.

I'm pumped every year but it feels different this year especially with the way our D is playing. Getting those 3 picks on manning Monday night was amazing and I really hope we can keep it up. I love this team and I'm super excited about this year. GO FALCONS!!!
