I know you're not a fan of Matt Ryan....its been evident, but if you don't think that Ryan's meaning to the Falcons and also his stats don't match the top 3 players on that list this year, then you're just delusional and can't admit when you're wrong, even if yo only think its a 1 year thing.

Ryan had the best completion percentage of any QB this year. Only a biased person (or a fool, but I'm trying to give you the benefit of the doubt) would fail to recognize his success at the hardest position in football this year as worthy of recognition.
He was universally regarded as the first quarter MVP by the media, and with the exception of his numbers from the Arizona game (which he still won), was tops in most categories that matter. To say that the most important player on our team is not one of the 10 best players left amongst the 8 remaining teams is tantamount to admitting a missing chromosome. Formerly SBC Falcon

I saw this on the NFC South blog, there are only two QB's to post a 68% completion percentage with over 600 pass attempts. Matt Ryan this year and Drew Brees in 2011.
Here's the link Matt Ryan Sucks ![]() ![]()

Matt Ryan is not even our best player . Roddy White is . The topic was the top 10 players left in playoffs . Ryan is not one of them in my opinion . Top 20 sure . All QBs are important . Russel Wilson is important to Sea success but the argument wasn't important . It was top players in playoffs and has it come down to that label him 1st quarter MVP how about Ryan winning a MVP then we can talk . Brady , Rodgers , Peyton have they are also in playoffs and had better statistical seasons then Ryan this season . Yes Ryan had a nice comp % large part due to screens but he also had 14 ints ![]() I'm delusional from our playoff loss against GB . Don't take me seriously until year 2413 . - Added by Phocis because of this post. Warned here. Do not remove. |

Matt Ryan was great this year outside couple of games . Ryan didnt have better statistical seasons then Brady , Rodgers or Peyton . He is in ball park but he has less TDs and more ints then rest Matt Ryan now has to prove he can take next step when it counts most in playoffs . Ryan needs to step up ![]() I'm delusional from our playoff loss against GB . Don't take me seriously until year 2413 . - Added by Phocis because of this post. Warned here. Do not remove. |

We wouldn't be where we are today if Luke McCown was starting.

You didn't mention passing yards and of course u discounted completion percentage. But once again its not about the past. We all understand that he has to step up in the playoffs but it doesn't exclude him from being on that top 10 list. |
