Realistically, both offense and defense played well enough to win (not great by the D, but still). This was a game where I thought we'd win or lose it in the red zone. The Falcons give up yards but hold in the red zone on D. The Falcons don't get a ton of yards but score in the red zone on O. San Francisco is the opposite of that.

When 4 of 5 drives in the redzone for them are TD's...that's pretty much the game. I thought a win would basically look like 5 redzone drives for the Falcons, 4 TDs, 1 FG and 5 redzone drives for the 49ers, 2 TDs 3 FGs. Falcons win 31-20.

With the style of D the Falcons employ, they can't let teams win in the redzone. I know there are many other points, and there's no excuse to score 0 points in the 2nd half...but that's where a lot of the problem is. Falcons had 3 wrapped up at the end if the D had held them to a FG on a red zone.
