Seriously though, I know that sack yardage counts against a team's passing total, but does it also count against the QB's passing stats? Always seemed strange to me to count sack yardage like that, since a pass never actually happened, and may not have even without the sack.

The only way a QB can lose passing yardage is to throw a pass to a receiver who then goes backwards. So, a pass to Sproles for a four yard loss on the first play of the game followed immediately by a sack which ends Brees' regular season would do the trick.

In other words, ain't gonna happen.
