RE: I'm glad they broke the record
The falcons have gotten sloppy in big games. That wasn't the case last year.

RE: I'm glad they broke the record
The Falcons didn't lose because of the refs. BVG and co. dug the grave, the refs just threw dirt on the coffin. This team played absolutely terrible tonight. Refs blew ass, but that was not the deciding factor. I have never been one to call for coach firings, but it seems to me that the scheme BVG runs is not suited for the players here. If the rematch in 2 weeks looks like this, he needs to go.

Last year in Monday Night against the Saints and then again in the Playoffs by the Packers. Consistently inconsistent to big heavyweight bouts.

The defense definitely struggled tonight, but nobody, and I mean NOBODY, is going to beat the Saints if their offense only scores one TD.

So the Falcons have a lot of work to do on both sides of the ball the next two weeks.

Front four just don't make plays.

True, but once we were down by 3 scores, the Saints could tee off. Neither of the coordinators are above reproach, but BVG, in my opinoin, laid the bigger egg tonight. Allowing them to convert their first 9 3rd downs is a disgrace. Why in the world did BVG have the safeties playing 30 yards deep while having Dunta playing a short zone on 3rd and 12? It boggles my mind.

Also true. And that isn't going to change this season.

TB is a good game for a tune up but there was no way the falcons were winning tonight. The feel was like the post Katrina game. They never had a chance. Something always favors the saints.

I honestly think the players are a bigger problem than BVG. Especially Thomas DeCoud. Brees was constantly looking his way on 3rd down.
