Falcons: How does a QB throw 400 yards with 3 TDs lose a game????

Yeah I'm not worried. The Falcons are very resilient. We could have easily folded down 11 on the road, instead fought back and had two chances to win at the end in a game where we made many uncharacteristic errors and played far from our best, and in a rival game at that.

Just get ready to hear all the "exposed" talk even though the Giants got their asses kicked in Cincy.

Well said bro. The saints played their hearts out and barely beat us. There isn't a "mental block" against the saints. They barely beat us, like they usually do. A few things go just a bit better, like ONE YARD better and we win. So yeah, we're still 8-1, I'll panic when we're 8-5 or something.

Yeah, you're right, screw the talk though. I watched the game, we lost but I we're better and Ryan outplayed Brees. I know the truth about the falcons, they're 8-1 and really really good.

Well when you are behind most of the game and throwing to get back into it, you tend to throw for a lot of yards and still lose.

Every team has lost. We barely did, on the road, to a rival.
8-1. Every one of you, beginning of the season, if asked would you take that record, would have enthusiastically done so.
We're #1 in the NFC right now, with 7 left. We are sitting pretty, and this loss should fire the boys up to keep pushing harder to achieve their goal.
Frankly, we needed a loss before the playoffs to keep our guys for buying any hype, and this one should sting enough to keep that fire under our guys going into the playoffs.
I was proud of how both sides of the ball played with heart in the second half. We had a chance, and a chance in every game is truly all you can ask for.

That all said, I'd bet the house that we rip them one on the rematch at our house.

The only game plan against us is to take one of our big 3 out of the game. Only thing that slows us down. This game actually has me feeling more confident than a loss should. We had spoon out all game and we lost Julio for a fair chunk. Both of those are key cogs in our squad and we still only just came up short. I will say this. I am not for us trading the farm this year. I think we get key personnel in key spots in the draft and free agency. But I see enough depth issues as it where to stop us being too aggressive. Which is fine by me. Again I believe we need to go get that tight end in the first 2 rounds. It's critical that we have a 3rd big target. I don't feel all that comfortable with Harry taking Tony's role. He runs awful awful routes.
