Ryan would extend for Tony to fit him in. No way Ryan doesn't step up for his favorite target.

Yeah I have a few friends who are huge packers fans, what we saw on TV was him complaining about chemistry with Aaron Rodgers, they need more chemistry, he needs to trust me....etc.

Basically the word I got from my diehard pack fans some of which have family in the area and know some of the staffers, the guy is physically talented but LAZY and doesn't want to put in extra time. Which was reason AR stopped throwing to him in a pinch.....he had built good relationships with the other WR.....also the dropsy thing.....another reason AR stopped throwing to him.

Then they asked him to take a pay cut to which he said....no F$%^ing way......most people who don't perform are willing to take a pay cut for job security....instead Finley sees it as an opportunity to try to get more......another locker room cancer....would rather have a journeyman with decent hands but willing to work hard to keep his spot on the team!

Don't blast me for this. But I somewhat feel like I'd rather take Welker on a longer deal where his cap hit isn't all in one year than bomb 7 milli in one year on one player. Don't get me wrong. I love Tony. But I'm not sure if with some of things he is requesting that its the right thing for us.

I have mixed emotions on the subject.

Money wont bring Gonzo. If his hearts in it, he will be back.

Via Jay Glazer, He's Back!

No formal contract agreement yet, but Gonzo told Fox Sports that he and the Falcons are "on the verge of a new contract that will put him back with Matt Ryan and Co. for one more run."

Glad that's out of the way so TD can get the rest of our guys resigned and look towards the draft. I was scared Gonzo was going to Favre us. (waffle and not make up his mind, not send us dick picks).

"After discussing it with my family and really, truly struggling with this decision I informed the Falcons I would like to return for one more shot," Gonzalez told Fox Sports.

Gonzalez later posted a message on Twitter, confirming his plans to return.

"I'm happy to say that after speaking with my family, I'm coming back," he wrote. "The lure of being on such a great team and organization, along with unbelievable fan support was too good to pass up. We have a great shot to get to the Super Bowl, RISE UP ATLANTA!"

RE: Gonzo wants $7 million
This means that he truly believes that we have a team good enough to win a SB. He's not going to come back unless he is overwhelmingly confident of this. This really means a lot. It's going to boost everyone's confidence.

I wonder if we still go after a TE in the draft this year. I think it's much less likely. I think this means we can concentrate on defense and a RB and worry about TE next year.

I bet we pay TG $6M. That would put us about $10M under the cap with Grimes and Baker left to go. And I still think Matt gets a new contract that puts us an additional $4M or so under and we some how find room for an FA somewhere.
