RE: Final ingredient Mcneill or Osi
McNeill (if healthy), or any suitable OT would make the biggest difference. If the Falcons knew they had a line that could hold up, the passing game could be designed much better, and the running game would be more effective.
I think a LT, and either a 2nd TE or tall slot receiver would make this a formidable offense. On defense, there are a lot of guys to sort out at DE (where you rotate unlike OT) and I think we need to go younger instead of getting a stopgap. Abe IS the stopgap there, and we're trying to find future replacements. At LT, we don't even have the legit stopgap. |

RE: Final ingredient Mcneill or Osi
I say neither.
We don't have roster spots for another OL, especially not one who may not be 100% and is injury prone. We do have a DL spot IF we move Massaquoi to LB, but I think they intend to groom him as an edge rusher. Not sure if he will put a hand in the dirt or stand up, but either way I want to see what Sidbury, Matthews, and Massaquoi can do in Nolan's scheme before we add a big name to the DL and tie up a lot of money. Plus, Osi seems like he might not be the best locker room guy. Seems to complain an aweful lot about his money vs. other teammates money. |

RE: Final ingredient Mcneill or Osi
Between Osi and McNeill I think we have to go Oline, assuming we're gonna keep Sam Baker and Svitek is at least our starter going into TC I think McN would be even an 'upgrade' over Sam/Svitek.

Think realistic though guys. They've openly voiced confidence in Baker still, blaming injury for his poor play, and Svitek is very inexpensive depth plus we just drafted an LT. We're not going to sign McNeil.

People are going to bitch, piss and moan, but the sooner they start accepting this situation for the upcoming season, the better they will fair. I hate it too, but it's a reality for at least one more season. I can only hope Baker has healed or the coaches continue to start Svitek if he outplays Baker in camp. |

Think that if you're negotiating with a FA LT you don't make public statements about how awful your LT problem is. |
