RE: Falcons prepared to move on without Grimes
Owens is garbage. He should have been called for PI at least twice against the Giants. Personally, I hope we release him.

If we let Grimes & Abraham go, we're going to be in serious trouble next year. We're going to have a very mediocre pass rush with Edwards/Matthews, Peters, Babs, and Sidbury/Biermann/rookie. Add to that only having Robinson, Owens/Franks/Walls, Hayden(maybe)/rookie, Moore, & Sanders/DeCoud(maybe)/rookie, and we'll have a bottom 10 defense that gets thrown all over. I don't care who the new DC is, if that's what we're working with, which is a possibility since we're going to concentrate on OL in FA, our defense will suck.

Our DT's are average at best. They get very little consistent pressure up the middle. The front 4/7 is extremely good against the run, but that's it. Losing Abe and hoping a DC can coach up who's left doesn't sound all that great to me. And if our pass rush continues to be mediocre, losing Grimes is going to compound how shitty our pass coverage is.
