Very scary to think that Owens, Franks, Decoud will be on the field together for an extended period of time.

Smitty just announced Grimes will have minor knee procedure and will miss a few weeks. Has been playing with it since Detroit. #atlhou11

Sounds as though it may be a meniscus tear. That would be about three to four weeks max.

Oh dear god let him be back for the Monday night game.

Need him for Texans game but we still have a good chance going against 3rd string QB, will be tough to cover Steve Smith without him, and he's not really needed for the Jaguars game... gonna really need him for the Saints game.

That could be close. I still feel the Saints would win with him in there, but I wouldn't mind it terribly if was out. Although, my guess is that he'd be back. Vilma had the "minor knee procedure" just before the bye week and he'll probably be back this week.

That's right, you guys had kind of a late bye week didn't you.

Yup, week 11. I haven't heard exactly what Vilma had done, but meniscus repair fits the time frame. The only other option might be cleaning up bone chips or scar tissue, but those usually are attributed to early procedures.

Grimes hasn't had any surgeries in the past, has he?

not that I know of...you're most likely right.

and I think this is the right move...even though we can still beat them without him, I'd rather "concede" the South to the Saints and have Grimes 100% by playoff time, rather than have him limping into the postseason. with the wildcard picture getting wider and wider, it's a pretty good risk/reward decision

It sound like a knee scope.... Most likely 4 weeks.... Well its Franks and Owens time to step up... This is the only time you get to see what your young guys can do... Darrin Walls also...

Its put up or shut up time because TD will look for another CB in the draft if these guys dont step up
