Falcons might be without Grimes against Texans :(
Quote:Cornerback Brent Grimes, who played only six snaps against Minnesota, might miss more time because of a knee injury. With Grimes and Kelvin Hayden (dislocated toe) possibly not available for Houston, the Falcons will have Christopher Owens and Dominique Franks ready to play against the Texans on Sunday. Owens and Franks received extensive game time against the Vikings. “He’s going to play a lot of football for us now,” defensive coordinator Brian VanGorder said of Owens. “We are counting on him coming in here and working hard.”

All the sudden beating the Texans seems to be alot harder.

Lets just hope that DR23 can hold Andre down. Dodgy

Andre is the #1, and typically plays on the QB's right, Dunta plays on the opposite side. Losing Grimes for this game is arguably bigger than losing him in any other game in the regular season this year.

He did practice against him day in and day out, and that was back when teams had real practices. If I had to hand pick a top flight receiver to match Robinson up against it would be Andre.

It also doesn't hurt that it will be T.J. Yates slinging the ball, and making his first NFL start for the home team, surely Owens and Franks are better than a 3rd string QB who has never started a game, Right?

well second thought, let just hope Biermann, Edwards, Sidbury, and Abe step up. Dont give TJ Yates (or whoever is their QB) time to throw the ball.

All in all, i think going to this game, the Texans will try to pound the ball down our throats. As long as we shut their running game down, we'll be in control of this game.

Reading this sends chills down my spine.

Well hopefully it won't matter and Yates will throw it to us a couple of times, and maybe just maybe Owens got some swag from the game saving tackle followed by a sack on the next series. Anyways, I just hope that our run defense keeps showing up, that's what were gonna need most. And if our offense stays sharp like it has been it probably won't matter, but we do need to win, win 'em all I want the division and I'm sure the Falcons do too.

I'm not worried about AJ in this game. Rookie QB... if we cover the quick slants and underneath routes then we will win this game.

Honestly as much as Andre Johnson is a threat, this is a running team. They were that way with both Schaub and AJ on the field. So with a rookie QB in the game I don't believe that they will make a dramatic change away from this.

They will protect their yiung QB with their #1 defense and their #1 running offense. And if there is anything at all Owens is better at than Grimes it's tackling. Grimes has def gotten better don't get me wrong but Owens is good at run defense and blitzing as well.

Given that this may actually turn out to be the best game for him to fill in.

WE JUST CRUSHED THEIR FACE!" - Larry Munson broadcast UGA vs Tenn, 2001
