RE: Falcons @ Texans
It's a damn shame that stupid things like drops and penalties at the absolute worst times just killed us.

RE: Falcons @ Texans
The only bright spot is even when Ryan is inconsistent this kid is fucking gold, he never gives up and keeps coming back, we'd be 10-2 right now if our WR's caught just 3 more passes at the end of 3 of our losses. Fuck the Ryan haters all to hell espcially those fucking douce bag Ryan hater on the OFMB,

RE: Falcons @ Texans
A lot to be disappointed about in this one...especially on offense.
Why this team has regressed so much from the highly disciplined, dont-shoot-yourself-in-the-foot play last year is a mystery that needs solving. Whatever the case, Ryan and his deep ball, our WRs, Dunta, and our playcalling (both sides of the ball) need to get it together. This makes going at least 3/4 (and beating the Saints) that much more necessary. And where was Moore? I thought he was active today. |

A team that builds itself on strong fundamentals needs time to work together and practice this. The lack of an off-season hurt us more than it would most other teams, simply because our offense heavily relies on the offensive line to win in the trenches, and our defense is a complex zone scheme that requires comfort with the players around you. |

I sure hope that DeCoud isn't one of the starting safeties for the rest of the season though. It needs to be Moore and Sanders. Invest in the trenches with high draft picks and we will see both sides of the ball vastly improve.

There is no way in hell that I can disagree with this, very astute observation. |

The fact is that the regular season to this point should have been long enough to cover those problems. Other teams have adapted. Perhaps your team doesn't have the players to handle the complex schemes. I have been hearing this same excuse om some of you all season long. If you can't get it corrected after 12 weeks it can't be blamed on the lockout any longer. Just being honest in my opinion here, guys. Saints Fan Since 1967

If you can't get it corrected after 12 weeks it can't be blamed on the lockout any longer. Some things we have corrected. When we've had a healthy secondary, they've played well. Over time, we've fixed most of our offensive line problems. The consistent problem has been penalties at inopportune times, and I wouldn't even know where to begin to fix it, because it has been hard to isolate. It's frustrating to watch, because we have the talent, and we know the scheme works, but we keep finding ways to fuck it up at the worst times. Last year, I felt we were limited by our talent, but executed very well more times than not. This year, I feel like we have the talent, but we aren't consistently executing. Nothing though makes up for the drops. Those have been game losers. When it's all said and done, dropped passes have been the one thing we can isolate and say that if it wasn't a problem, we'd be a virtual lock for the #2 seed. |
