RE: Falcons Live Press Conference
I'd like to see what gets said behind the closed doors. A completely candid conversation btw Smith, TD & Blank. THAT would be extremely interesting.

This is my signature.

All of these guys sound frustrated... I like most of the things i heard... They dont want this team to get complacent.

It also seem like a change to a 3-4 or hybrid D is a possibility .

It also seem like their will be some guys possibly cut

I want to see what happens during this offseason.

I LOVE how Mr. Blank pointed out the O-Line.. He didnt let Matt Ryan getting the ball out of his hands trick the situation (sack numbers)

I'm sure Blank drove the idea of this meeting, but it's not easy to put yourself out there for the community to put you on the hot seat and sit there and answer the hard questions coming from frustrated fans and sports writers. Much respect for all three of those men.

This was PR 101. You must ALWAYS control the story. Had this not presser not happened, the entire narrative of the offseason would have been dictated by the anger of the fans and sports talk. By doing this, the organization got out front of the problem, and is now seen as being proactive in dealing with a problem instead of flat-footed and reactionary. Seems this isn't Mr. Blank's first rodeo.

It's pretty obevious we need a major over haul on the offensive line. But I'm extremely happy, Blank putting the Oline on blast.

Theres a reason why Blank is a Billionaire, guy is incredibly smart and savvy.

I think if we don't perform next year (atleast make it to NFCCG), Smith might be let go.

Shit I would pay money to see that. Set that up on pay per view and I would be all over it.

RE: Falcons Live Press Conference
Yeah, I'd like to be that "fly on the wall" in the meetings they've had so far and will over the next few weeks. Arthur Blank is 'Da Man', The Godfather, etc. I loved it!! It's nice to have an owner that sees the same realities we see and is putting it out there; he put everyone in the organization on notice today. And yes, I believe that Smitty is on a HOT seat until our 2012 season ends; when it ends will largely determine if he is our HC in 2013. I think TD is not too far removed from that scenario either. It seems that the checkbook is open for the right OC and DC... any coach that takes a job within next next without contacting Falcons, or speaking with them if contacted, is not very wise. imho
