Falcons History vs. Peyton Manning
For just the fourth time in his career, Peyton Manning will play against the Atlanta Falcons tonight. Based on history alone (and not how the Falcons or Broncos are currently built), one would have to believe Peyton loves playing against the Falcons.

2001 - @ Indianapolis, Colts win 41-27. Peyton - 23/32, 325 Yards, 3 TDs, 1 INT, 112.2 Rating.
2003 - @ Indianapolis, Colts win 38-7. Peyton - 25/30, 290 Yards, 5 TDs, 0 INTs, 146.5 Rating.
2007 - @ Atlanta, Colts win 31-13. Peyton - 22/32, 272 Yards, 3 TDs, 1 INT, 113.0 Rating.

In his career against the Falcons, Peyton's stats look gaudy.

SEE EDIT

Of course, the opposing QB does make a difference.

2001 - Chandler
2003 - Vick
2007 - Harrington

EDIT: It was brought to my attention that I missed the 1998 game between the Falcons and Colts. Here are those numbers

1998 - @ Atlanta, Falcons win 28-21. Peyton - 19/27, 159 Yards, 2 TDs, 2 INTs, 79.1 Rating.

Adjusting Manning's overall numbers, still pretty damn good.

89/121 (73.55%), 1046 Yards (8.64 YPA), 13 TDs, 4 INTs, 121.4 Rating.

Manning played against the Falcons in 1998 when he was a rookie.

Falcons won that one.

No problem -- I only remember it because I was at the game. Peyton jumped out to a lead on us, and we started a comeback with the most beautiful flea flicker to Tony Martin you've ever seen. That was back when a handoff to Jamal Anderson would draw the whole defense in, and there wasn't anyone near Tony when Chandler let go of the football. Great game, especially since a mix of Tennessee and Indy fans were behind us heckling early.

Remember all those games well, was at the last one, which was the nationally televised NFL network game on Thanksgiving night. Harrington actually hit a long one to Roddy to give the Falcons an early 10-0 lead in that one, but it was all Colts from there.

The most embarrassing moment from these games though was in the 2003 game, when the Colts were just kicking the Falcons head in, then Duckett scores the late TD to bring the Falcons back to within 32 points and starts celebrating like he just won the Super Bowl.

In that 2007 game Michael Boley also got an interception off Peyton early. That game started so good as you said. It was 10-0 Falcons and then that was it.

RE: Falcons History vs. Peyton Manning
I know its only been one game but it just feels like this year we are erasing history. Something is rising in Atlanta that was hyped over the past few years but never materialized. Tonight is our chance to prove it all. All that history with Manning means nothing. Tonight I think this team will be ready to defend the house. I never mean ill will towards anyone but I want to see Manning have the worst game of his career.

Yep. As I said before the season started, this just feels right!

And 3 first-half sacks. Back when Michael Pro-Boley seemed to be on the same level as Sean Weatherspoon.

Yeah. I really thought the Falcons were going to pull off one of the biggest shockers in NFL history.
