I just wish people would stop worrying about the ghetto. I don't live in Atlanta anymore so maybe I am unaware.

The parking and lack of tailgating options seem like a legitimate gripe, but Im seriously asking here....when's the last time a serious crime happened during an event at the Dome because of its location in the ghetto?

Depends on what you consider a serious crime.

cars getting broken in to or vandalized seems to be a common occurrence. The one and only time I parked near the Dome in 2005 the vehicle two spots away had its window smashed when I got back to the parking lot. Buddy of mine had his CD players stolen back in 2009. Do people get murdered or rapped because they park near the dome? not that I know of, but it just isn't a good area to have something like a major sporting event.

Another thing is that the disjoint nature of the surroundings are a large contributor to the empty seats at the beginning of games.

I didn't see any location given on the new stadium.

If you think of greater Atlanta as a barn the stadium will be built in the middle of the biggest pile of shit that can be found.

I realize this thread is old, but I found an album that included every stadium in the league taken from Google Maps.

Look at the parking every other stadium has. Just look at it! Even Aloha Stadium has 10 time more parking than the Georgia Dome. I want a new stadium, yes, but seriously, Blank needs to make sure we get a ton of parking around that bitch.
