Falcons: Edwards On Track For Week One

Falcons DE Ray Edwards (knee surgery) turned in his most rigorous practice yet on Sunday.
"It was almost full participation," coach Mike Smith said. "We will know more by the end of the week." The Falcons haven't gotten a good look at their new defensive toy since signing him in late July, but it sounds like he's on pace to be ready by Week 1.

that's good, not too worried about missing preseason games even though it sucks not getting to see what the new guy can do

Coach said that it's too early to say if he'll play or not this week, so at the least, I think we see him in game 3 which is the most important one anyway.

Edwards is not going to play any this pre-season. He is a week 1 hopeful at this point.

Hell I would just play the backups the whole pre-season and leave the starters out. But Good to hear about Edwards, I just hope we have DTs if they keep getting hurt. Hell we might have kept Jamal Anderson as a DT. Just kidding. lol

IF that's the case, which it's almost certainly not, it'll be precautionary.
