I don't go along with this (he took one for the team crap) no not at all. Lets face it, Dunta is not a good CB and he played like total crap and was looking for someone to take his frustrations on. He gets beat like a drum every game. He was lost as a fart in a whirlwind. Bite the bullet, move him to nickel and get another CB.

Where are you getting your info from? Dunta Robinson has never been known to be a dirty player. He's overpaid, yes. He's not the best CB in the league nor is he the greatest tackler, but a vindictive, cheap shot artist he is not.

This makes two years in a row he has done this. I didn't say that he was vindictive, I said he was upset due to his failures and looked for someone to take it out on. That was simply the result of poor play.

i think after all the missed tackles last week, some coaches busted some players asses for sure. that said, it he didn't have his head down, that would not have been illegal, although i do think he was in the beginning stages of pulling a NASA and launching

I don't have a problem with the hit at all. You know what? Football is a violent sport. I'm a firm believer that nothing Dunta did was on purpose, that's obvious. Had Maclin NOT lowered his head on that, the tackle would have been perfectly legal.

There comes a point where I begin to ask myself, should there be a clause where receivers be just as much to blame for these helmet to helmet hits as the defenders? Majority of the time the hits are going to be legal with a guy using his shoulder to put a guy on the ground, and the receiver bashes his helmet into the defenders helmet trying to truck through him or brace for the hit.

i kind of find the rule funny, your head is kind of connected if not fully to your shoulders, wherever your shoulders go, your head is going to go.

I blame the Eagles for sending those quick, little WRs over the middle (emphasis on the word, "little"). The Eagles offense places emphasis on speed and YAC. It's just too bad they don't teach those guys to get down when Vick floats one a little high that leaves them vunerable.
