RE: Dominique Davis
Oddly enough that doesn't make him the most accurate QB. He has an average completion percentage around 65% and tends to throw quite a few more interceptions than you would to see in college.
What that does tell me though is he is absolutely not afraid to sling it and he takes risks but at the same time can have spirts of great focus and accuracy. So now stick him in the NFL where he'll clearly get better coaching and certainly have better receivers who he can rely on to make plays even if he's a little off or taking a risk, and he should greatly improve on the completion percentage and fewer ints. Which means he could very well blossom into a very special talent. |

RE: Dominique Davis
i just finished watching the highlight reel from the game he had against Navy where he had the 26 straight completions. finished the day 40 of 45 for 372 and 2 TDs.
ok, so a lot of them were screens, but, there were several 2nd and 3rd reads that he put in some pretty tight windows and some very nice downfield throws too. this kid could be special. I'm sure glad I saw early in TC where TG was showing him how to throw the ball

RE: Dominique Davis
Dleds column today has Davis "on the bubble" since we picked up McCown.....
poor DLed didn't copy the whole article, just the QB's section: OFFENSE Quarterbacks (2, number of players on the opening day roster against Chicago in 2011 at the position) - Locks: Matt Ryan and Luck McCown. On the bubble: Dominique Davis. McCown played the past three seasons in Jacksonville under new Falcons offensive coordinator Dirk Koetter. Davis has dazzled in the exhibition games, completing 19 of 32 pass attempts for 227 yards with two touchdowns and one interception for a passer rating of 88.9. It will be interesting to see if the team exposes him to the waiver wire and try to sneak him back through to the practice squad. That's the dumbest article I've read in awhile. Davis isn't going anywhere. Order your #14 jerseys now boys.

I think I could tolerate him more if he didn't speak in ALL CAPs.
