I know, I know, nothing is guaranteed, I'm probably getting carried away, but it's difficult not to be extremely excited. For the longest time I had come to terms with the fact that we would just always have an Ok defense, but now I see the opportunity for greatness. I think our defense became good by the end of the season. They certainly weren't the problem in NY. But like MM I think after 4 years we have a good idea what we're going to get with BVG, not much is going to change, certainly nothing radically. So do you sit back and hope that history doesn't repeat itself or do you take a risk for greater reward (rhetorical I admit).
One of the things I'm most looking forward to is seeing how the same core talent on both sides of the ball do with totally new schemes and coaches. It should answer a few questions. |
