Mike Smith is now Mark Richt. This is a terrible hire. I don't care what talent Koetter had. You don't have the #32 ranked anything and get another OC job for a NFL team, you go back to college or you get to be a positional coach.

I am really let down by this. I will always support the Falcons, but I will be going into the next season with no expectations, except that we will probably not improve and that this will be Mike Smith's last year.

I agree completely.

One thing that bothers me with the Falcons is that they put way too much emphasis on interview performance. You have to balance interviews with track record.
