which is why I said "also". I think letting Mularkey go followed by signing a big time free agent (an offensive lineman perhaps) is what we need to do. I've never been the ideal armchair GM, but regardless, I think this off season will be VERY interesting.

Not sure why BVG gets a pass as well- too many breakdowns in the second half.

Get a couple of players on the lines, either from developing who is here, drafting/FA and the Falcons will be fine.

Man that hurts.

Oh, and to the OP question- yes, I thought they had a good chance to win.

I can honestly say that there was no doubt in my mind that we would NOT win it all. That being said, why delay the inevitable

The complete fail of the Falcons offense eventually gassed and demoralized the defense.

Even on the Giants good plays, you could point to exactly which player failed on their assignment.

The defensive game plan was rock solid today.

I regret not putting money on the Giants to cover the -3, I had a good feeling about it and even if they don't cover then I could find happiness in a Falcons win. I did win on the Over last night for Saints/Lions 59.5.

Then you're not a Falcons fan. Saints fan? Bucs fan? Panthers fan? Which is it?

Ok, maybe, still a little too upset for really rational thought.

Still feel that too many mistakes were made on that side.

Well, they need to get rid of DeCoud for sure. He once again was instrumental in most of the big plays given up.

Yep. I definitely heard that. I quickly replied (shouted, actually) "BVG SUCKS!!"

Honestly, the guy's defensive mindset doesn't elevate past the college game. Fire his sorry ass.

"TOUCHDOWN! MY GOD, A TOUCHDOWN! WE THREW IT TO HAYNES! WE JUST STUFFED THEM WITH FIVE SECONDS LEFT! MY GOD ALMIGHTY, DID YOU SEE WHAT HE DID? DAVID GREENE JUST STRAIGHTENED UP AND WE SNUCK THE FULLBACK OVER! … WE JUST STEPPED ON THEIR FACE WITH A HOBNAILED BOOT AND BROKE THEIR NOSE! WE JUST CRUSHED THEIR FACE!" - Larry Munson broadcast UGA vs Tenn, 2001

Rest In Peace, Larry. You will be missed.
GO DAWGS! HUNKER DOWN!
