Despite postseason struggles, Falcons' Smith far from hot seat
Pete Prisco Article
Quote:The talk infuriated many inside the Atlanta Falcons building, and they couldn't figure out why it was coming at them. There was talk around here after the January press conference that Smitty and TD were on the hot seat. Maybe it's a little off base thinking not getting a playoff win this season would mean the end of Smitty and TD. The Man In Black

Smitty will become the Falcons' all-time winningest coach this year. He ain't going anywhere anytime soon.

Never got the whole, "drop smith" thinking. He's growing as a head coach just like our team is growing...i think he's done a hell of a job when looking at the big picture.

Well duh. Obvious is obvious. Only people talking about getting rid of Smith are members of a silly forum. You know that other one.

The surest sign of an NFL coach's long term prospects is whether his subordinates are buying or renting.
They're buying. |
