Our defense simply can not get off the field or hold anyone on third down. It has been a running joke with my family and friends since BVG took over that when we have the opponent to third and long I instantly quip "They have us exactly where they want us" and sure enough they convert. Over and over and over. Enough is enough. Get rid of the college guy and get a real DC in here.

how many times in chat this year esp have made the exact comment you made here "they have us right where they want us, 3rd and long"

amazing how often they give that up, and/or fail to even SNIFF getting off the field on 3rd down

Chew on THAT, Petunia!

LOL wow I had no idea others had the same quip. Yes, I say it all the time and my family and friends are over to watch the game and they know it has sadly become one of my pet sayings. Just like Roddy White has went back to being Droppy White which I dubbed him his first two years.

Take a lot of humble pie to work under someone you once gave the orders too?

RE: Defensive Coordinator Options
Knowing Del Rio's history and the breakdown he had with his players and the fact that Smith was once under him, I don't see that happening.

RE: Defensive Coordinator Options
I just want a DC who is not predictable and is eaten alive by decent passing offenses. If the O is 3rd and 12 and you rush 3 and play soft on the receivers....duh!

I love the Falcons and to hell with anyone who doesn't!

Lions were also one of the worst 3rd down offenses too at that time. Something had to give lol

[Image: 2menybt.jpg] Invest in the trenches with high draft picks and we will see both sides of the ball vastly improve.

You know I'm more than a little damn sick and tired of people taking pot shots at me over Brooking. The guy is a Ring of Honor lock and gave us the best years of his career including playing a season with a broken back. He blew one play. Get over it.
