Falcons: DeCoud played the entire playoffs and Pro Bowl with a broken finger

Yesterday I was watching one of the Super Bowl preview bits and it showed 49er's plays with blown tackles. DeCoud was in almost all of them. He obviously couldn't wrap up. The next man up would have been better than a player who could not tackle because of injury. That may have cost y'all a trip to the Super Bowl.

Wow! Was it all on DeCoud or the medical staff?

But watch the plays. There were two or three where he should have at least slowed the receiver down but he guy striped it like he wasn't even touched. When I was watching, before the knowledge of the mangled finger, I was thinking he was really finally looking good this year but all of the sudden started to suck.

He hid the injury from the team. I would be pissed.

Dude, quit your crap. His finger was pointing in the wrong direction, and you think no one knew, and Smith wasn't doing his job? Shesh!

If you had to list the number of players playing with broken fingers, the injury report would quadruple. People just play through them (or rip them off if you are Ronnie Lott!). The staff was fully aware, and just didn't go around posting x-rays till after the season was over.
