I think James Rogers simply beat him out.

We actually have room for 1 WR to make the 53 and another to make the PS. I wouldn't be surprised if Rogers makes the 53 and Cone, Calvin, or Davis makes the PS.

White, Jones, Douglas, Meier, and Rogers sounds like an incredible receiving corps to me.

I agree with that, but still crazy early to cut a developmental player. Falcons do have a number of players they seem to like at WR, and Pearcy must not have been close to any of them.
