The player is out to get the most they can in a very short career and I can't blame them. The teams show no loyalty either as was demonstrated by the recent cuts of Turner, Robinson and Abraham. when the player's productivity gets to the point it doesn't match his pay, something has to be done. Loyalty was exhibited last year when DRob restructured. Abe went to test the market and didn't find what he wanted, and came back. IMO he failed to be 'loyal' in that move, so cutting him this year isn't that surprising. Similar situation with Snelling a few years back. I do agree with you though, this is a business first. Don't blame the players for trying to make as much as they can WHEN they can. And from the team standpoint, sooner or later, being successful has to come above sentimental attachments to players who just get to be too old to be worth paying to play. Ask Joe Montana or Jerry Rice.... Chew on THAT, Petunia!
