Well that, and he had Randy Moss and Wes Welker show up. |

RE: Before you give up on Matt Ryan
Thing is, the NFL has changed even in just the last 5 years. It's become a pure passing league. Teams that run the ball simply don't win championships anymore. Nor do teams with soft zone defenses that rarely blitz. Why I'm so glad we finally moved on from John Fox and his expired coaching style.
I think Matt Ryan can be a great QB. An elite QB. But for that to happen you're going to have to switch up your scheme and adopt a more pass-happy attack like the Packers or Patriots run. Those numbers don't tell the whole story; all those QB's are capable of putting up huge numbers and carrying the team in the right offense. Ryan can't do that in the offense you guys run now simply because the whole offense is built around the run game. Design a scheme to fit what he does best; use shotgun more often, though it doesn't have to be all about throwing deep. The mid-range stuff can be deadly if done right and I feel Ryan can do it right. But it's never going to happen until your coaches realize that it's not 2005 anymore and modern NFL offenses aren't built around the run game any longer.

RE: Before you give up on Matt Ryan
Anyone disparaging Ryan is not a person I wish to converse with. We have an elite QB, something of stability this franchise has never had, and his winning tradition is not enough for them? Some people's sense of entitlement is pure shit.

RE: Before you give up on Matt Ryan
Don't let a vocal minority on the boards askew what the majority of us view about Matty as our QB. We still believe in him and he isn't the crux of the problem with our team.

WE JUST CRUSHED THEIR FACE!" - Larry Munson broadcast UGA vs Tenn, 2001 Rest In Peace, Larry. You will be missed. GO DAWGS! HUNKER DOWN! |

RE: Before you give up on Matt Ryan
Can't believe the article at the top about Matt being the most overated QB, the guy has a rough start and he is over rated. Why dont we try Romo or Vick first or Sanchez. Matt gets barely any hype/ rating for the sake of it. He's had to earn what he has got extremely hard. Hence why it is only idiots who are trying to take away from him. Sort out thos O line problems which have become to much and watch Matt go past last season where he made that Line look great at times and improve that line to where they work together and watch Matt get even better. I really feel for the guy at this point because part of his skill set is not to block for himself he protected himself well last year. But now its just becoming too much. He needs to improve on his game in laces, but it does not matter how much its worked on in practice if come game time the circumstances for him to do it aren't there. Now that we have 90% of our skill positions covered we need to start concentrating on putting quality players into the trenches, Specifically the O line.
