RE: Asante Samuel
To me based on when he hurt it it looked like he jammed his shoulder. I would say it's a shoulder sprain if I were guessing. Jon Jay for the Cardinals had a similar injury in baseball running into the wall earlier in the baseball season. He missed a month because it didn't respond like they expected. It's a day to day kind of thing but those days can be long and start to stack up.

RE: Asante Samuel
Seems the going rate for getting an injured player back is 3-4 weeks. Are we gonna see Spoon next week?
I'm willing to not play these guys that need to be healthy. Jones Spoon Asante Those are 3 major people that need to be healthy for us to win a playoff game. They don't need more prep, they need rest.

I imagine he will try to play but to heal it will take a few weeks.....it would suck to have to do without him now.....we need to totally straighten up and beat the bucs this week.....and god knows we need to tackle or Martin will have a HUGE day against us Ys weird though, heard on the radio, The bucs are no 1 or 2 against the Run, but 32nd against the pass. So if matty needs to do a shootout. please do, but the Bucs are like no 13 passing the ball and a little higher running it, We have to stop Doug martin.

RE: Asante Samuel
Matt was pretty hot on the Saints game. As was the rest of the passing game. Whilst the D played average. Offense had a big time brain fart last weekend and defense picked up the slack. This weekend we have to do all we can to take away the run and gorse freeman to throw. They will like he'll keep running it. 1 because they are good at it and 2 because we have shown little aptitude for shutting it down. And 3 because it helps them control the clock. Offense knows they haven't played a game since the saints game and to win this we need them to be as hot as they were against Sam Diego. I think this game is more important to us than the NO game was and we have to be up for it and call a great one and execute at elite standards. We have played better away from home this year. I hope that that shows up again this weekend.

I hope that that shows up again this weekend. Smitty is always talking about that complete game. We had it at SD, we had it at Philly. Both those games came after tough, close wins. I can see us putting together a good game. If Spoon comes back and we can control the run then put on the amoeba defense to confuse Freeman and force him into mistakes throwing we can have a good game. Their D is as tough as it used to be. If Ryan gets his head straight than we can move the ball well. |
