RE: Asante Samuel
Nothing official, but judging by how he was holding his arm and from personal experience I'm guessing it's a mild separation of his shoulder. I had one when I played in high school and it can be a nagging injury if not properly treated. My shoulder still slips over ten years later.
Good news is they make braces that help hold it in place. The Man In Black

RE: Asante Samuel
Regardless of what it is he's a warrior for trying to go back out there at a crucial point in the game and making sure a deep pass wasn't completed

RE: Asante Samuel
It might have been a seperated shoulder. But whatever it was it was really hurting him. He came back in late in the game and made a great play on a deep ball and had to go immediately back out of the game.

RE: Asante Samuel
looks like he pinched that nerve which leads to tingling and weakness. I imagine he will try to play but to heal it will take a few weeks.....it would suck to have to do without him now.....we need to totally straighten up and beat the bucs this week.....and god knows we need to tackle or Martin will have a HUGE day against us

Jay Adams @FalconsJAdams
Smith doesn't have any details on injured players today. Pleased with how hard they worked to try to come back in. #atlaz12 ![]()

RE: Asante Samuel
I think he will be ok, he came back in the game and made a game saving play on a long ball and tweaked it again.
If it was really serious he would not have been able to come back and the second time he hurt it it did not seem all that bad. |

RE: Asante Samuel
Following the play where he came back in and broke up the long pass, I saw him on the sidelines moving his arm rapidly in a circular motion. From that I would say that there is no way it's a torn ligament. If he can do that, and was doing that in an effort to try to get it to feeling better my guess would be either a pinched nerve or a mild separation.
