Airport Workers Egg Taints Bus!
New Orleans Saints team charter reportedly egged in Atlanta
Jeff Duncan, NOLA.com | The Times-Picayune By Jeff Duncan, NOLA.com | The Times-Picayune on November 28, 2012 at 7:48 PM, updated November 28, 2012 at 8:56 PM If you're questioning the intensity of the rivalry between the Atlanta Falcons and New Orleans Saints, check out this tweet from Saints backup quarterback Chase Daniel. It came just minutes after the team's charter flight touched down in Atlanta on Wednesday night. @ChaseDaniel: Wow, as we're boarding buses on the Tarmac @ Atlanta airport, we start getting eggs thrown @ us by airport workers! Guess they do hate us! Saints teammates Jermon Bushrod and Jimmy Graham re-tweeted Daniel's message, which was tweeted at 7:48 p.m. Wednesday. Graham confirmed Daniel's tweet a few minutes later: @JimmyGraham: Bus just got egged after landing in ATL by the ramp workers. Classy! "RISE Up" smh Linebacker Will Herring also confirmed the incident: @wherring54 First time my bus has been egged by opposing fans! Tomorrow should be fun!! #WhoDatNation Not all of the Saints were put off by the incident. Wide receiver Joseph Morgan seemed to have fun with it: @jmthegreat How do eggs make people mad? Cool and hilarious prank #childhood #memories Nevertheless, Thursday night's Saints-Falcons game should be intense, considering the national stage, recent history of the NFC South rivals and stakes at hand. This incident should only stoke the competitive fires even more. It adds another chapter to one of the NFL's budding rivalries. After the Saints' 31-27 victory on Nov. 11, Saints linebacker Scott Shanle referred to the Falcons as "our little brothers" in an interview with Yahoo!Sports and called their pregame actions in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome that day "classless." Leading up to the game, Falcons wide receiver Roddy White told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution: "I don't like nothing about the Saints. The colors. The city. Nothing. But they've got some good food, though. Other than the food, nothing." |

RE: Airport Workers Egg Taints Bus!
I wouldn't do it and it's certainly childish, but it's truly not that big of a deal. It's harmless.
As far ad "extra motivation', I think that's a load of crap imo. No offense, but I'm pretty sure it's already understood that they want to beat the crap out of the Falcons and vice versa. There is no extra motivation, the Saints players are already there. |
