A Tony Gonzalez story
If you've ever seen TG in practice, you know he's a perpetual motion machine. If he's not directly involved in drills or reps, he has somebody throwing balls to him on the side.

There was a period last season where he dropped several balls over a short span. He asked himself why it happened, and the answer he came up with was that he'd recently been taking side passes from John Parker Wilson. Not that Wilson can't throw a good ball - the problem, in TG's mind, was that they were too good. Prior to that he'd been taking balls from a staffer of questionable passing skill. Low balls, high balls, too far in front, too far behind, bad spirals. The hard-to-catch stuff was keeping him sharp and the Wilson stuff wasn't. He went back to working with the staffer and the drops stopped.

Fast forward to this week. In the wake of two drops against Pittsburgh, TG has gone back to working exclusively with that staffer on the side.
