Falcons: 2nd + 3rd + whateer else Stl wants for Fleener!

LT is a huge need position, as is RDE. However, both are long shots at the back end of the 2nd round. I'd rather take an OG, TE, RB in the 2,3,4/5 who all have a good chance of starting, over taking DE, OT, TE...giving you likely 3 guys who will never start.

That's just how our picks break down this year. It's better to take guys who will start for 10 years and ignore a need, than to take a "need" but get a guy who likely will never become anything in the league. A 2nd round DE, 3rd round OT, and 5th round TE will likely give us just that...no starters. A 2nd round OG, 3rd round RB, 4th round (trade up) TE may give us 3 good starters.

It's more important to take the position the draft gives you than your need. And this isn't just about BPA...it's about which positions you can likely get starters at which rounds in the draft.



Side Note: Personally, I wanted all FA money spent on an OT and OG, so I see those as huge needs. However, if they took a multidimensional RB in the 2nd, a TE in the 3rd and planned on using a lot more 2 te, 2WR 1 back sets...that would help the line in a different way, and would be valid.
