Falcons 25 - 30 snaps

RE: 25 - 30 snaps
He got a helmet to the side of the head. You guys are WAY over-reacting.

And to be clear, he was to compete for the starting position and he still is.
Don't count Peterson out just because.

ST is a very important part of football. To have your starters pulled from ST play would be absolutely stupid. Come game 1 it would be a concern for our team as it would have to many fresh faces in there.

Dent got a concussion. It's not the end of the world. Ewing is out for the season and he wasn't even touched by anyone when that injury happened. Get a grip people.

RE: 25 - 30 snaps
You guys do realize that there are only 46 active players on game day right? That means some starters have to play ST.

1- Starting MLB playing ST: Your starting player at a position where you're extremely thin due to injuries and departing players risks injury by playing ST. This is risky but I can live with that.

2- Starting MLB playing ST in preseason: This one is inexcusable. Dent was an outstanding ST player so he won't benefit by practicing ST play in preseason. However, he has almost never played MLB in the NFL so he needs all the practice he can get for his PRIMARY position. Playing ST would take away from that in addition to risking injury during the preseason. Let him focus on playing MLB and come September ask him to play ST if you must.

ok I started this mess.....LMAO the only thing I'm going to go back to say is that your #2, ok so he did have tons of practice playing ST last year, was it from the MLB position? I'm only asking because I don't remember. Lofton wasn't in on ST was he? I do agree he needs the bulk of his practice at MLB though, which was the main point of my original post

Lofton has a hard time seeing a football flying through the air. The evidence for this is overwhelming.

Apparently he had to leave practice today due to issues with the heat. Link

The high in New Orleans was 93 today with 85-90% humidity. You;d think he got used to that kind of stuff in Flowery Branch.

ok reading that article, this was in the comments at the bottom, cracked me up:

but yeah, you'd think CL would have some experience dealing with humidity while he was here. Mother Nature better watch out, the taints will put a bounty on her.....or run crying to the NFL that she's put one on them Big GrinBig Grin

The gulf coast has a horrible humidity level. You walk outside and you instantly start sweating. Some days you drive with the wipers on though its not raining. It's a night and day difference between ours and their humidity.

Can't fault the guy for heatstroke, but when Gonzo pulls down a few passes on his head....
