Were they there for him though? I'm only adding them if I find somewhere they've said they went or did something specifically to talk to or see X player because they have interest.

We have scouts at virtually every big college pro-day, but everything I've listed there's been specific interest mentioned. Kind of like how we went to Kentucky's pro-day, but there was absolutely zero mention of Cobb anywhere as far as having interest or speaking to him. But there was some for Locke. I'll add Murray if you can confirm that.

Southwest area scout Shepley Heard enters stage left at 0:16.

Take it for what it's worth.

Yeah I'm just not sure because I know we've mentioned interest in Quinton Carter, so it's possible we were there for him. I just haven't heard/seen specific mention of Murray. But trust me, I really hope we do. I think Murray is a hidden gem. His film is crazy, I love it.

I'll hold off though unless I actually see a bona fide mention of interest.

We scouted a lot of Oklahoma games during the season so im sure we looked at Murray....

We dont know all of the visits so Murray is a possibility.. So since it hasnt been a report about him.. i dont think we can add him to the list but...I really like him ... He remind me of Darren McFadden

RE: Falcons 2011 interviews/visits/workouts
I would love to add Murray but he is such a injury risk and with TD history or his draft picks so far I would probably stay clear but he is one of those players that could be the risk/reward type and worth a shot

I'm delusional from our playoff loss against GB . Don't take me seriously until year 2413 .

Yeah. He should have just drafted Dez Bryant last year. Oh wait, look how he ended the season... broken ankle and on IR.

edit : no sense to respond to Radical and the nonsense he replies with ruin this thread..

This is good thread BEEF thanks for the info

I really wouldnt mind 1 bit if we draft Murray , he would be a great 3rd down back but just concerns with staying healthy maybe we get lucky for once and avoid injury bug

1) Did Weatherspoon miss games with injury ?

2) who made more impact plays on the field/game changing plays..Dez or Weatherspoon ..

REFERENCE FOR GAME CHANGING PLAYS

FOR DEFENSE PLAYER

TFL - that is tackle for loss
Sack
int
FF

For offensive player

TD
20+ yard play
punt return for TD
kick return

1. Yes. Complaining about injuries is why you're a hypocrite.

2. Your qualifications ensures that pretty much any WR is going to have more "impact" than even Pro Bowl defensive players.

well lets put that theory to the test

Jenkins was a 1st round pick and so was Vilma in 04

if you look at the numbers between the 2 you will show that Vilma has made more impact game changing plays if you add PASS DEFEND as impact play which I believe is ..Vilmas numbers are much better then Jenkins ...

not 1 person here will say Jenkins is the better player then Vilma ...so to the point I hope Spoon makes the impact plays going forward cause I feel Dez will

Keep in mind that nobody knew the Falcons had worked out Jerry until after he was drafted. I've heard the same thing regarding Sam Baker and other players TD has drafted as well.

Personally, I have a feeling that there are a good number of front offices who would rather not disclose their belief that Murray is easily the second best RB in the draft.
