Today on the radio Archer said they called the quick timeout there in case they needed or wanted to run one more play. And if that's what you are thinking pre snap that's exactly how it would play out. Given the angle from his position on the sideline it would be hard to tell exactly where the ball was spotted and with the clock ticking you gotta take the timeout immediately.
