2. Marshall is one of the biggest, strongest receivers in the NFL. Not only do you have a receiver with 3 consecutive 100 catch seasons (Roddy never surpassing the 88 mark), but one that can be a tight end on running plays. 3. It's impossible to tell, but I don't look at forced fumbles as an important statistic when judging wide receivers. It was great hustle and an extreme statement on Roddy's will, but not enough to say "that makes him the best regardless of receiving stats". If we're talking about this year, then Roddy is the unanimous winner, but that's unfair. Ahmad Bradshaw isn't the best running back in the league, DeAngelo Hall isn't the best corner in the league, and Sebastian Janikowski isn't the best kicker in the league. After the season will be a better time to judge what is happening right now, but until then, I still think Marshall is the pound-for-pound better wide out.

Not taking ANYTHING away from my love for Roddy White, my 2 jerseys speak for themselves. He's still a top 3 receiver, and still our best player, no contest.

No one is doubting his physical skill, but be serious. Marshall is a guy who a number of times has lead the league in drops. If he can pull it together, work on his hands, and be more consistent, then he should enter the discussion. I'm not doubting his ability to make a great catch and run it back for 6, but I doubt his ability to do it consistently.

Ok, I've read your argument, and it's pretty good, but I don't think it is a good arugment for Marshall being a better player than White RIGHT NOW.

So, tell me, if you've been watching the Falcons games this year, and I assume you have, would you trade Roddy White for Brandon Marshall?

Marshall is getting paid more, still has a case of the dropsies, and Roddy has never been an off or on the field problem (Marshall having been both).

I remember you, bossFalcon, and myself were three of the most vocal members about Roddy getting paid. It seemed like the majority did not want White to get paid..even if that might not have been the case.

I can say with a clear conscious that I 100% supported Roddy's tactics as a good business decision and never criticized him in the slightest.

Think about this.......if Roddy had played out his contract last year, the Falcons could have done the same thing to him that the Chargers did to VJ. And Roddy might still be sitting at home like VJ.

What a tragedy that would have been.

Roddy White is our best player and its not close

Roddy is a great wr but he doesnt do anything GREAT thats the problem..We all love Roddy White but from a physical stature he cant compare to guys like Andre Johnson/Moss or even Calvin Johnson

Roddy is in that Reggie Wayne/Marvin Harrison type player but with that being said both those players ran better routes and had better hands ..neither of them ever drop anything and there 2 of the greatest route runners ever.

Roddy..............good route runner
Roddy.................good speed
Roddy ................not the greatest YAC ( most cause of scheme design)
Roddy................ok hands , have improved over past couple of years
Roddy .................great overall

The thing is we need to get on that platform and win a ring for Roddy to even have a chance to get into Hall of Fame..he was a late starter and is what 28/29?

Judging on what Roddy White is right now, and not his career - I don't think there is a better set of hands in the league. The bomb the other day is the only ball I've even seen him bobble.

Moss makes one one handed catch and the world explodes in his greatness. White makes two amazing catches this past weekend and its business as usual.
