Still, I think he's ahead of Moore in his understanding of the pro game (witness Moore's non-coverage on the Shockey TD). Coleman is more savvy than either, and more versatile, but doesn't have their youth or athleticism.Great freakin' post man. You said what I was trying to say in a much clearer way.

RE: Erik Coleman back at FS????
He just needs to get his mind in the game. I don't think they will sit Decoud, but honestly it wouldn't surprise me. Moore has been nothing short of a sure thing thus far considering he is 2 games young.
Decoud has blown two big plays that ended in a TD. It has to stop, key word in his position is "Safety" Dome Section 232! |

Not saying that DeCoud didn't blow those plays, but it is difficult to tell what the specific assignment is for the FS on each play unless you can freeze the play before the ball is snapped and see what we're running for that play. Was a CB supposed to be in man and was in a shell or some variation of the Cover 2? Not making excuses for DeCoud....I'm just saying that on many defensive lapses by someone else on D it's often the safety you see trailing trying to clean up the mistake.

No. JMO, but I see at least one probowl in Decoud's future. Coleman is great depth as he can play either position, but Moore and Decoud are the present and the (hopeful) future.

RE: Erik Coleman back at FS????
We can use another capable player to rotate in. The CBs are already rotated pretty aggressively and it would help to be able to rotate in another safety as well.

Brian Williams could certainly be that guy, as could Shillinger, though he needs seasoning. But I don't think you'd see a four-man rotation at safety with any kind of regularity. |

Not 4 man, but a 3 man rotation with SS as an emergency option makes sense to me. Furthermore having Moore or Coleman available to help on ST as needed could be huge.

I like the Idea, even though I like Decoud to Coleman is better, IMO
But, its just to let Moore get more exp. for the playoffs , he needs it! I would cut all the other S when coleman gets 100%, and pick up some other positions' ![]()
