I think Ryan has just enough zip and accuracy to make the play but needs reps first. Unfortunately with the safety being able to cheat on Roddy Ryan ends up using the sideline as his ally rather than having a chance to give Roddy some YAC. I would love to see it added to the arsenal and now we have no excuses not too so I guess we will see if Ryan can pull it off, I say yes. |

Im not trying to criticize Ryan, but I have noticed a change since his rookie year. In his rookie year he used to step up in the pocket and fire the ball down the middle deep field. Since then he has shortened his passes and gone more to the sideline. Maybe thats a product of Mularkey's play calling, I dont know, but Ryan used to sling it and lately he hasnt.

Douglas got hurt and in his comeback year he just plain played scared to me, Jenks as much as we enjoyed seing some of those clutch catches, is still really not dependable, even TG this year dropped more passes than ever before. I hope upon hope if we keep Jenks and move him over the middle, he can catch the ball. the one problem i have with this is he is a big receiver, but he's NOT physical. he does NOT go battle for the ball. Is that going to work if he goes over the middle for most of his plays? Julio is definitely going to make a difference in the matchups this year, you can take that to the bank! as much as I liked the Meier pick last year, we weren't saying that about him. I am still of the mind Jenks is trade bait, and Meier comes back as our 'over the middle' receiver that's not a TE Chew on THAT, Petunia!

So can Ryan put a ball over a LB and drop it between a S. Not a easy throw by any means that has to be done consistent That is alot of timing and not caring and shaken off a int . Has more to do with trust read and wr I actually thought he improved on that throw, it was on the outside between the corner and safety usually, but he would drop the ball between those coverages often. |
