Dunta Robinson is a bum..

RE: Dunta Robinson is a bum..
If what Sportsfreak said is true, then we may be looking at corner in the offseason. I guess it depends on how the Front Office feels about Owens progression. But it definitely seems like Dunta was gonna be the outside corner is base packages and nickel in sub packages.

Given the accuracy of Sportsfreak news, don't be surprised if we pick up a cb in FA that fits the role Owens was supposed to fill this year.

good question...

here's a link...but it looks as if it's not updated

http://www.footballsfuture.com/2011/fa/db.html

it not's gonna be huge name if we do though...it will be somebody who is specifically a cover corner and nothing else.

I forgot about franks as well. if he is developing then this might not happen.

But i dont even think that because during OTA's.. Dunta said we mainly was going to ask him to cover 1 side (not move him around and shadow #1 WR's) and back then (and training camp) reports was Chris Owens was more impressive then Grimes.

IDK.. That just kinda sound crazy... I just know we are 10-2

What I meant. He was going to be an outside guy who slid down inside in Nickel packages often where he may blitz.

Same thing I was thinking.

And we will not be picking up a big name corner in fa unless grimes leaves, which I highly doubt. Corners are important but think about how much it would cost to pay grimes dunta and another corner. Unrealistic IMO.

RE: Dunta Robinson is a bum..
I think Dunta is having a solid year. He shuts down his side for long periods of time. He's WAY better than Chris Houston, and therefore he is a key reason we're doing so well this season.

Did we overpay? Uhh, yes and no. He's not "the best cornerback in the league" material, and I think that's what a lot of us hoped for coming in. But he's good. Maybe not quite pro bowl tier. So yes, we probably overpaid a bit, but then again, pretty-good-but-not-quite-pro-bowl-corners make a lot of money on the FA market.

Dunta is a big part of why we're 10-2.

there's a point and time when you eventually have to look at your negative rep and say "maybe I should stop making threads simply to piss on specific players in a double-digit win season". That's probably just me though.
