Dunta Robinson is a bum..

I think yesterday was probably not the game to be pointing out as one that puts him in the garbage pile. He's had worse and better games as a Falcon.

I've seen better CBs give up that quick slant pattern for a TD in man to man coverage. We paid market price for the guy, it wasn't like we were going to get him for bargain dollars. After what I saw from Owens against the Bengals(which was bad enough to make Lewis Sanders seem All-Pro) and Brian Williams during his time at the outside CB position, I am fine with Dunta.

teams aren't even throwing at Dunta that much & to complain about him whiffing on a tackle ... on THAT field yesterday. you just want something to complain about because of his contract.

shut the hell up, or call up your buddy Chris Houston. I'm sure he's willing to come back.

I feel like you guys are very hard on Dunta.... The guy missed a tackle on a messed up field... Thats the only thing i can see that he messed up on... If some jump on him for giving up a freakin 2 yard slant TD.. thats crazy to say he sucks because of that...



IDK... I just dont get it.. He hasnt been beat allot and QB's havnt tried him allot... He is doing his job.... Do i want more ints from him... Yes... So i can understand being a lil "Man he is getting paid... We should get a lil more as in ints" ... But i dont understand the "Dunta Robinson is not playing good" posts.

When the scheme let Dunta play bump and run coverage... I see the guy we signed.... When they ask him to play zone... I see a guy that is trying to get used to playing zone.

I'm not giving him a out by no means... I just think some are quick to jump on Dunta in a hardcore way.

We should have just kept Houston as the starter. He was better than dunta by a mile.

That's pretty much my take as well. He basically said as much on the radio show last week.

YUP.. Thats what it has been looking like on the field.. He has been playing bump and run man coverage for 6 year.. He is used to side shuffling... Now yhe is being asked to play 10 yards off zone... Meaning he has to use totally different footwork..

Its no excuses.. Because he has not been playing bad... I'm just saying why he looks better in bump and run then zone...

He will get better in zone.... He almost had a nice diving int yesterday

I didnt read the entire thread so I dont know if this was said already but Dunta is just as surprised about this season as we all are. When he got signed, he was told he would be playing LOTS of nickel and blitzing. Owens was supposed to play outside more but he isnt turning out as we wanted him to. We have made Dunta perform as a cover corner, something he is NOT! I kinda feel sorry for him because he feels like he is a failure. But he is not being allowed to do the things he's good at. Yes, he should just do as he is told, and he is doing that. But we cant be pissed off when coming in we knew what he was best at and he isnt able to do that. As far as his contract, I dont care what anybody says, we overpaid! JMO!
