and I loved TD draft of 08 outside the Harry Douglas pick over Manningham..Im pretty fair as I see it .. I said the

08' draft was a great success ......turns out to be right
09' draft was a failure in my eyes
10' draft was another failure and a huge mistake on passing on Dez

I'm just wondering, how THE HELL do you judge the 2010 draft a failure? I didn't think Weatherspoon was particularly effective even when he was healthy, but a failure after one injury plagued year, come on now. Our 3rd and 4th round OL didn't even play!!!! What if they both turn into studs?????? Same with Franks.

2009 was no 2008 obviously but it got us a future Pro Bowler at safety, a DT that is damaged goods but very talented and way too early to judge, a DT that will make a nice cheap rotational piece/depth for the next few years, and again three players that we cannot judge yet in Reynolds, Sidbury and Adkins. Look at Dahl, he didn't start a game until his fourth year in the league and Clabo didn't start until his third and these guys have less natural ability than the guys I listed above! Will they turn into successful players? Maybe. Please stop jumping the gun!

Please feel free to label Chevis Jackson, Thomas Brown and Wilrey Fontenot all you want and the same goes to any of the other draft picks after they get released or have proven their inability to play at a high level (like Owens). Hell even Owens is young enough that he can turn it around...

The Steelers came up empty on their 2-4 round picks in 2008. They chose Kraig Urbik in the 3rd round in 2009 and he's on Buffalo now. The Steelers have drafted some real duds. Bill Bellichick passed on Mike Wallace for Brandon Tate, so I guess he's a moron and Pittsburgh is smart now. It's an inexact science and I think the Falcons have done fairly well at it. The only draft picks that have been complete failures SO FAR in my opinion are Chevis Jackson and Chris Owens (yes I liked Owens, but he looks like a mental midget).

I just dont share that opinion... You can be pissed if a guy have a down season... But to fully judge a guy after a rookie season is crazy.. especially if he was injured... You said William Moore was a bust last offseason... 72 tackles, 1 FF, 5 ints, and multiple big hits later... The guy def dont look like a bust.


My point is... The smart thing is to wait and see the player play while healthy before u throw out ... "We should have/TD made a mistake.... if a guy is injured his 3 years or has done a terrible job after his first 3 years... then you can have a good opinion over a good amount of time... Or ill see if someone just completely sucked their 1st year.

Chevis is the only guy i would call a mistake because we cut him.

Every WR drops passes. HURR DURR. Some drop them more than others, and Douglas dropped a large number of passes considering the number of targets he got in 2010.

Ask the Ravens what they think of Ryan rolling out left...

Swift is, without a doubt, the biggest hypocrite on this board. As has been pointed out numerous time, his self-centered "opinion" is the closest thing to trolling this board has.

Swift, this year's draft was boring, not a failure.

I wanted Emmanuel Sanders and Jimmy Graham in the 3rd. They both went before us. Given that, I wanted Jordan Shipley/Andre Roberts and then Dennis Pitta. And taking Atkins in the 4th.

That likely would have been a more exciting draft, and would have helped us more THIS YEAR. But it's hard to blame a guy for taking two interior OL when he knows guys are leaving next year. It's boring, but if they're solid guys, it'll be a solid move.

I still don't love that draft, but it's hard to know how it was until we see how those interior OL turn out.

can you find me a number of his total drops..?


so lets say Harry Douglas dropped 5 passes but only was targeted 35 times


so the 5 drop passes are held against him but how about the 5 under throws or over throws by Matt Ryan ..

I think this draft will be a failure in the long run..can I be wrong..yes I can be wrong and I will admit that in 3 years if so but passing on a bona fide play maker even those some flags could possibly be up and drafting a OLB in first round ..If Dez Bryant turns out to be a star and Weatherspoon turns out to be a decent player that has a contributes to a Super Bowl run and improves our defense dramatically it wont be..

Also when I say in terms of failure cause the pick of Peters (who actually played fairly well through out year) was a insurance policy to his 09' draft so he is admitting failure with the Jerry pick basically

Meier on IR . what else is new for a TD draft pick its like every single year 2/3 of his players go down ..and radical kills me cause i wanted Dez Bryant who got hurt but so did Weatherspoon so why not give me the player who can be a game changer but got hurt to a depth or 2nd tier player who gets injured ..
