Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant is a little lighter in the wallet, but has one less lawsuit to deal with.
According to ESPNDallas.com, Bryant has reached a settlement with A+A Diamonds and Rafaello Company, a New York-based jeweler, for non-payment on $246,000 of merchandise. Mikel J. Bowers, the jeweler's attorney, did not disclose the terms of the settlement.
Bryant purchased a total of $267,000 in custom-made jewelry from A+A Diamonds on four different days last year. The company, which caters to celebrities and athletes, sued him last month.
Bryant still faces another lawsuit from Eleow Hunt, a Texas-based jeweler and ticket broker. Hunt alleges that Bryant hasn't paid him for jewelry or tickets to sporting events, and has failed to repay personal loans Hunt gave him. Hunt's lawsuit seeks more than $600,000 from Bryant.
As a rookie last season, Bryant caught 45 passes for 561 yards and six touchdowns in 12 games. He also made an impact on special teams, averaging 14.3 yards on punt returns, including two touchdowns.
